Ingredients

  • 4 slices dense rye bread
  • butter
  • leftover roast beef, salmon, or hard-boiled eggs
  • pickles
  • fresh dill or chives
  • horseradish or mustard

Instructions

    Butter each slice of bread generously.

    Top with pickles, herbs, and a dab of mustard or horseradish.
