Lebanese Fattoush Salad

A refreshing Lebanese bread salad using stale pita and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 2 stale pita breads
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce
  • 2 tbsp sumac
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • fresh mint

Instructions

    Toast or fry pita pieces until crispy.

    Chop all vegetables and lettuce.

    Whisk olive oil, lemon juice, and sumac for dressing.

    Toss vegetables with dressing just before serving.

    Top with crispy pita.
